Breitsch-Swap: Your 24/7 Swap Shop and Swapping Community. Forget long waiting times for swap events or expensive second-hand fees. At Breitsch-Swap, you can swap well-maintained maternity wear, women's and children's clothing, as well as toys for points at any time. Use your local swap point, find great new treasures, and easily contribute to the circular economy! It's sustainable, fair, and extremely flexible.

Your donation before the end of 2025 guarantees the rent for the space for the year 2026, thus securing continuous and unlimited access to the swap shop. With CHF 4000, we secure the rent for our Breitsch-Swap Shop for the entire year 2026!
This allows us to concentrate our volunteer energies on what is also important:
*An own website with simpler point management
*Organizing even more workshops and swap events to enliven our great swap community
*Doing promotion to increase the number of users and make the offer even more attractive (a lower membership fee?)
*Cleaning and designing the shop even more regularly (why not a coffee machine?)

Following 2026, with a solid swap community, we hope to open a second location in another neighborhood in Bern, or even further afield, and broaden our range of items (for example, women's shoes).

The "Breitsch-Swap" shop is located in Bern's Breitenrain district (Breitenrain-Quartier) in the Innovationsdorf (Wylerringstrasse 36, 3014 Bern).
The shop is operated by the Tauschpunkt association. We offer you a flexible swapping opportunity that fits in with your everyday life: You can visit us during our organized events or – and this is what makes it special – use the location around the clock (24/7)!
You can easily swap clothes, toys, and baby items at any time of the day or night.

The idea of swapping clothes and toys in Bern comes from Jaide, who organized this at her home for over 5 years. I thought that was absolutely great. Swapping is ecological, economical, and fun. So it's perfect for parents like me, who want to share this tip with other parents too!

I have been passionate about the environment since my childhood. I have a Master's degree in Environmental Science and am currently working on my dissertation in Urban Sustainable Planning. Besides my passion for fashion, I love organizing events. I almost never buy new clothes, acquiring them mainly through swapping and in second-hand shops.
