Please get in contact Boosters!

Hi Boosters, I have emailed you all already (please check your spam!), but I am still awaiting contact back from many.

Please drop me a line ASAP to let me know how to get your ales to you!

Three options. Pickup in Luzern or in Dallenwil (e.g tomorrow (31.8.16) I am at the brewery from 18.30-20.00), I can deliver to Luzern area in the evenings or, I can send the ale by mail. Sending ale by mail is not ideal (it's a terrible idea) so if we can arrange pickup or delivery, so much the better!! I have some Brown Ale and some (Award winning!) Alcoholic Ginger Beer ready to go, so don't delay!!

Cheers!

Thanks crowdify.net!

The funds have landed! The machine has been purchased! The box has been opened! WoW. What a BEAUTIFUL machine!!!! I just uploaded the unboxing to the project page, so go checkout what we bought! Thanks to my Boosters again, and also a big thanks to Ron Orp's crowdify.net team for hosting this project.

I will now be contacting my Boosters to get your addresses and to find out how we can get your ales to you. Three options. Pickup in Luzern or in Dallenwil, I can deliver to Luzern area or, I can send the ale by mail. Sending ale by mail is not ideal so if we can arrange pickup or delivery, so much the better. I have some Brown Ale and some (Award winning!) Alcoholic Ginger Beer coming ready in the next weeks, so the Goodies should be OK to deliver/pickup at the beginning of August (not September as stated in the Goodies pitch) I hope that is OK :)

Once I get the new bottling-beast hooked up and running, I will duly video it and upload it here to show you our purchase in action! Boosters; feel free to let me know if you want to come up for a bottling session/evening and have a go :))

Cheers!

Thanks Boosters!

Hey Ale Boosters,
Thanks again for supporting my beer bottling machine project. I will aim to get your goodies out as soon as I can. This will hopefully happen quicker than Crowdify plan to hand over the raised money....Please see below for the message that they just sent me. It seems I now have to wait up to two months before I get the cash to buy the funded bottling machine?!?!

"Project funded! Bravo! Congratulations! Your project has been successfully funded. crowdify.net is waiting for all payments to come through, including transfers from our payment partners (credit cards etc.). This can take up to 2 months (after your 100 days have expired). By this point at the latest crowdify.net will transfer your funding to your bank account"

Cheers!

Great News!

Brauerei Sutton is pleased to announce that we just won our 1st Gold Medal in a Swiss beer brewing competition!

This past weekend our "Sutton & Weir's Alcoholic Ginger Beer" managed to beat off 18 other beers to win the "Beer with Herbs or Spices" category in the B&R Beer Contest 2016. Our Kölsch also got a gong with a fantastic second place silver medal in the Kölsch/Pilsner category (30 beers in that category).

The B&R Beer Contest is the largest beer contest in Switzerland with 270 different beers contesting 16 different categories. The winners were determined by a professional judge and jury.

Get your drinking hat on!

Mission accomplished with 61 days to go!!! Amazing! Thanks everyone! Your Sutton's ales Goodies will be coming your way shortly!

All goodies will be either mailed or delivered, (officially once the 100 days are over I believe) but if you prefer, you are welcome to come and pick your ale up at the brewery in Dallenwil (by arrangement).

N.B All further pledges of financial support over the now smashed 100% target will still get the goodies offered, because there is in effect no limit to how much beer we can brew to reward supporters and it would be just fantastic to be able to also get someway towards a new grain crushing machine whilst we are here!! (See "needs" tab above)...

Cheers!

Good News!

Dear Boosters,

I am very happy to report that my "English Pale Ale" and "Alcoholic Ginger Beer" have both just won Silver Medals at the 2016 SIOS Swiss Brewing Trophy. There were over 150 beers in the competition so to hit the podium twice is really fantastic news :)))

Thanks again for your support.

Cheers!

Update 3. Nearly there!

75% of the way there! Fantastic! Please keep sharing the project with your friends and lets get this beer-bottling-machine fully funded! :)))

I have been asked: "What is the difference between Ale and Lager?" The main difference is that Ale is brewed with top-fermenting Ale yeast (in a room at 18C), and lager is brewed with bottom-fermenting lager yeast (in a room at 9C).

I have also been asked "What is the difference between Lager/beer and Real Ale?" The main difference is that Real Ale has had no extra CO2 (Or NO2) added to it to help make it fizzy; Real Ale carbonates lightly and naturally in the bottle over time. An easy way to spot a bottle of Real Ale is to see if it says "Bottle Conditioned" somewhere on the bottle label. :)

Cheers!

Update 2. Halfway there!

Amazing! 53% of the way there after only 10 days live! Thanks again to all my fantastic boosters, especially to the people I don't know (who I also can't drop an email/sms to to say a personal thanks for their support). This bottling machine project was featured in the RonOrp email newsletter today; so hopefully this will also help bring some new boosters across to the 100days site and help kick-off the second-half of the 100day bottling machine project!! Tallyho!

Please don't forget, a share to your ale-drinking friends is (nearly!;) as good as a boost!

Cheers!

Update 1. Goodies prices and Thanks!!!

A fantastic start to the beer-bottling-machine project, I am so pleased with the initial response :))) Many thanks to all and please, please, keep sharing the project with all of your friends!

Some initial feedback I am getting is: "Whaaaat your ale goodies are so expensive!" My answer: Yes, it perhaps looks that way, but actually, the ale goodies are still cheaper than if you were to buy some of this hand-crafted Swiss Real Ale in one of the pubs that sell it!

Charging "retail price" for the goodies will allow me to fund the new bottling machine and still afford to make the ale to reward the boosters; this is why I am offering my goodies at (just under) pub retail price rather than the usual wholesale/private purchase price.

Cheers!
