Solar Chill Box
MAXCOOL - The cooler that never needs ice
Project Overview
MAXCOOL is a portable solar cooler designed for hot climates where ice is expensive and electricity is unreliable. It keeps drinks and food cold using the power of the sun. With your support, we will raise $50,000 to improve the prototype and start small-scale production.
Funding goals
-
Stage 1:
15.000 EUR
0% funded
Funds will be used to improve the MAXCOOL prototype, acquire essential materials, and set up a small workshop to produce the first batch of high-quality units. This stage ensures the project moves from concept to real production.
-
Stage 2:
16.842 EUR
0% funded
This stage will expand production capacity, purchase larger quantities of materials, and streamline assembly processes. The goal is to prepare MAXCOOL for larger-scale manufacturing and early distribution.
-
Finish Stage:
46.842 EUR
0% funded
Funds will be used to start delivering MAXCOOL units to early backers, implement marketing campaigns, and establish initial sales channels. This stage takes the project from production to market presence and revenue generation.
Our solution is the Solar Coolman: a portable, starting at 30L autonomous cooling unit that generates its own cold internally using a high-efficiency DC compressor. It is 100% off-grid, powered by built-in flexible solar panels and a rechargeable battery that ensures up to 15 hours of continuous operation without sunlight.
Why Your Support Matters:
Economic Empowerment: We provide micro-entrepreneurs with a tool that is 65-80% more affordable than traditional solar solutions, featuring zero recurring costs for energy or ice.
Environmental Impact: Each MAXCOOL unit avoids approximately 133.2 kg of CO2 emissions per year by replacing inefficient preservation methods.
Scalable Innovation: Having validated our MVP through interviews with vendors and youth, we are now ready to move from prototype to final production.
With your contribution, we will establish a local assembly workshop in Mozambique equipped with professional tools to ensure high-quality production. Help us bring sustainable, life-changing cooling to every corner where the sun shines.
Join the MAXCOOL journey - Freedom that Refreshes.Â
Our flagship product, the Solar Coolman, is a 100% solar-powered 30L cooler. Unlike traditional iceboxes, it uses a high-efficiency DC compressor and integrated solar panels to create its own cold. With an advanced rechargeable battery, it stays chilled (down to -10°C) for up to 15 hours even when the sun goes down.
Why Join Our Campaign?
Affordability at Scale: We’ve designed a solution that is 65-80% more cost-effective than current market alternatives, specifically for those who need it most. Environmental Responsibility: Every unit deployed offsets 133.2 kg of CO2 annually, replacing unsustainable ice production and transportation. From Prototype to Production: We have a validated model and a clear roadmap. Your support will fund our local assembly workshop in Mozambique, allowing us to move from MVP prototype and 3D designs to a high-quality production line.
We are ready to bring freedom and freshness to vendors, families, and travelers. Your contribution builds the infrastructure for a cooler, more sustainable future.
