Litup Energy Lda delivers affordable solar energy via PAYGO to underserved peri-urban and rural households in Mozambique. We provide flexible payment plans, gender inclusive outreach, and climate aligned impact, building local capacity and distribution networks. Seed funding will accelerate growth, expand access, and deepen social and environmental impact.

With the €15,000 first funding phase, Litup Energy will build a strong operational foundation by purchasing an initial stock of 150 solar kits, with the potential to impact up to 900 lives, recruiting and deploying over 50 rural agents, strengthening the go-to-market strategy, and recruiting and training customer-facing staff, with a priority on women. This phase also supports structured training programs and reinforced customer support and PAYGO operations, validating the business model and preparing the company for scale.

With the €10,000 first funding phase, Litup Energy will build a strong operational foundation by purchasing an initial stock of 150 solar kits, with the potential to impact up to 900 lives, recruiting and deploying over 50 rural agents, strengthening the go-to-market strategy, and recruiting and training customer-facing staff, with a priority on women. This phase also supports structured training programs and reinforced customer support and PAYGO operations, validating the business model and preparing the company for scale.
In the second funding stage of €16,000, Litup Energy will accelerate growth by acquiring an additional 200 solar kits while strengthening customer interaction and payment collection processes to secure stable cash flow. This phase focuses on improving payment discipline, enhancing customer engagement, and optimizing PAYGO monitoring systems to ensure long-term financial sustainability and operational resilience.

Litup Energy is transforming access to electricity in Mozambique by delivering clean, affordable solar energy to rural and peri-urban communities that remain off-grid. Through flexible PAYGO solar solutions, we enable households, entrepreneurs, and public institutions to replace harmful fuels such as kerosene and charcoal with reliable, renewable energy improving health, education, income generation, and climate outcomes
Our project aims to expand universal access to clean energy, empower women and underserved communities, and drive measurable social and environmental impact aligned with SDGs 1, 3, 5, 7, and 13. By combining proven Distributed Renewable Energy (DRE) expertise, a strong local agent network, and robust PAYGO systems, Litup Energy delivers scalable, sustainable solutions tailored to local realities.

Create inclusive economic opportunities by prioritizing women and youth in sales, customer support, and community engagement.
