In April our Instrumental Hiphop EP "No Bad Days" will be released digitally and on vinyl. To reach as many listeners as possible with our music and to cover our costs, we need your support. To thank you for your support, we have created a lot of great goodies: Vinyl, stickers, shirts, hoodies and much more!

"No Bad Days" is a homage to the Hip-Hop of the 2000s, paired with elements of jazz, funk and electronic music. On one hand it's inspired by the OG's of the genre like Pete Rock, Dr. Dre and J Dilla, on the other hand by local artists like Sterneis from Zurich, C. Perkins from Bern or the Tru Comers from Biel. By reusing certain sounds and resampling our own beats, we gave the project a holistic atmosphere. This is also supported by the great cover artwork provided by our friend, Solothurn artist Mattania Boesiger. Musically, Florian Haldimann and Diego Ferrari contributed on guitars and Lexi Weber on vocals.
We are doing this crowdfunding because we want to give something back to the people who believe in us and who helped us. But first and foremost, we are concerned with the professional standards of our work: We want to get ahead, realize our dream and be able to live off our passion one day in the future.

We met six years ago in a shared flat in the Schönberg quarter in Bern, where we produced a musical advent calendar in the living room with our flatmates, celebrated a lot, laughed and discussed. In the meantime, we have both become fathers and no longer live together, but have remained connected through our music collective Smokin Trees.
When we finished the first song in Jan's studio last year, it was clear to both of us: this is the kind of music we always wanted to make!
Somehow our opposites complement each other in a good way and we can argue about it wonderfully, always knowing that it will result in a better product in the end. Funnily enough, we immediately agree on many decisions, for example when it came to choosing the cover of our EP.

A year ago I quit my main job as a graphic designer and web developer to focus on music and my little daughter Alma. With the project No Bad Days I want to establish myself as an independent artist and make a name for myself in the scene as a producer.

Besides my job as a social worker and the care work as a father, I want to pursue my passion as an artist & producer. Solo as well as together with Stirling I want to release more projects. Through our own label Smokin Trees we take over all label work and want to offer this to other artists as well.
