Project Overview
As you can imagine the psychological impact following such a natural catastrophe is deep... footballs, new shirts, trainers & a pump could be just what this tiny Atlas Mountains village needs to change their ideas. Help them to enjoy a moment of escapism through sport & rebuild their community by helping us to crowdfund posting these items to them. We have them already donated & need YOU to be their postman & give them a gift to use & smile.

A few weeks ago, a devastating earthquake struck Morocco before the eyes of the whole world. Deborah Abbott-Moulin and I decided to act quickly, to help families living in the most remote villages of the Atlas Mountains and who were most affected by the earthquake. We had the chance to work closely with FC Prangins to create a fundraising running event in Les Aberieux on Friday, September 22. (See the attached press article).
The success of the event allowed us to send a total amount of 2100 Fr. directly to Morocco for emergency food, blankets, tents, medical supplies, gasoline and an ambulance. Since then, we have also ensured that more than 33 families have mounted tents with toilets as well as the installation of 13 solar panels to bring heating and lighting to the tents during the coming winter period.
The area we are focusing on is the village of Tagadirt (see the attached video). Our partners in Morocco inform us that a group of villagers (adults and children) based in Tagadirt seek refuge in football: As one of our partners said: "When you see children playing football with a deflated ball, it is the sacred moment during which they forget the disaster that struck their homes and families".

We went to the Swiss post office who informed us it will cost roughly is 170 Fr. per box (three total boxes to send in photos) hence a donation of 550 Fr.
More than 400 villagers will be helped thanks to your donation. We desperately need a helping hand to send them these three boxes. Following the devastating earthquake, many people were left homeless, grieving, frightened, cold, and hungry. Earlier this year myself and Deborah Abbott-Moulin were in Morocco and made friends there. We have first hand on videos of the destruction caused to their family and friends and community. We wanted to react and to help rather than watch and be bystanders.
Our idea was to encourage the youth of today to help others for good causes, and to react in a positive and active way in supplying financial donations through sporting activities. With this in mind, we created the a fundraising sponsored family run in aid of Morocco. This raised money that went directly into installing solar panelled toilet-kitted tents for families in the hidden Atlas Mountains.
Since completing this event, we were touched to have been donated by SB Sport and FC Prangs these three large boxes of footballs, sporting tops, trainers and a pump. Now we need to get them out of the garage and directly to those in need. HELP!
