Your support can change a life. We are raising funds to provide a scholarship for a young Ugandan student, giving them the opportunity to attend university and build a career. By supporting their education, you are improving not only the lives of the students but also the lives of those around them, as they will be empowered to contribute to positive, impactful change.

Ugandan Empowerment & Career Development (UECD) is a non-profit organisation that supports disadvantaged young Ugandans, particularly women and young people from rural areas, in completing their tertiary education and starting their careers. Founded in 2007, UECD operates in Uganda and Switzerland and provides scholarships to students in Uganda who would otherwise be unable to study. By empowering students to build independent livelihoods, UECD creates a lasting positive impact on families and communities across generations. After graduating, alumni stay closely connected to UECD, supporting new students through mentoring and leading local initiatives.
Hi, I'm Tobi. Like all UECD members, I work for our organisation on a voluntary basis and am passionately committed to creating positive change for young Ugandans. I have been on the UECD board for a year, enjoying working with both the Swiss and Ugandan teams. Together, we are excited to continue helping young Ugandans transform their lives through education and giving them the opportunity to have a positive impact on the Ugandan community.
