Dear Sirs
First of all, I want to thank you for all the support Change Mind-Global Aid has given us by sponsoring room no. 11. Your patronage is vital for us to carry on receiving children and youths who are displaced from their homes in order to receive medical treatment at the Coimbra Hospitals. Thank you very much!
As a token of gratitude, I enclose a drawing made by Jacira.
When Jacira arrived from Guinea Bissau she could not speak a word of Portuguese. Partly because she didn’t know the language, but also because she was very frightened by a completely different reality of the one she knew (country, culture, way of dressing, climate, food, the hospital…). One year has gone by, Jacira walks around the house, smiling and playing with the ACREDITAR volunteers. And she speaks Portuguese of course.
Like Jacira, also Sofia from Lisbon, Hugo from Guarda and Alexandra from the Azores, among others, found in the year 2016 safe shelter in the room that Change Mind-Global Aid so gently provides for them. And thus, they were able to benefit from all the material and human services from the Coimbra ACREDITAR Association.
We need all and every one of our Patrons to continue our work. We need you.
I therefore invite Change Mind-Global Aid to renew its sponsoring of a room for yet another year, in the absolute belief that together we can always reach out further.
