We want to explore the conflict between generations, and the difficulty in identifying with an age different from your own even if that same age has been experienced in the past. Is there a bridge between generational differences? We would like to give a new and unprecedented point of view on this topic through a small story that goes beyond the rules of passing time.
The funds obtained will mainly be used to pay the cast and crew, as well as to cover transport and meal expenses. In addition, part of the funds will go towards the recording of the soundtrack and production design costs (props, costumes).
The role of Alberto will be played by Igor Horvat, a graduate of the "Civica Scuola d'Arte Drammatica Paolo Grassi" in Milan, who’s been active for more than two decades in Switzerland and Italy as an actor and director in theatre and radio, as a voice talent and as an actor in cinema and television.

Mauro, on the other hand, will be played by Massimiliano Zampetti, an actor and acting teacher who has accumulated a lot of experience in various fields, including radio and dubbing.

Pietro will be played by Riccardo Bombagi, an emerging Italian actor who recently appeared on the screens of the Locarno and Venice Film Festivals with the films "I Giganti" and "Ariaferma".

The cinematography team will consist of Giovanni De Chiara, specialised in direction of photography and very active in the field of music videos ("Baby Gang", "Psicologi") and Maurizio Zanieri, freelance videomaker and professional color grader who worked with clients of the calibre of "Fiat", "Alfa Romeo" and "Disney".

Cielo Solari, a student at the "Istituto Europeo di Design" in Fashion Styling will take care of the art direction, set design and costumes.

Sandro Meszaros, a "ZHDK" graduate specialised in cello who plays regularly at internationally renowned festivals, will compose the soundtrack.
The short film has been in development since 2021, when we started writing the story. Since then we have written multiple versions of the script, concluding the final draft in March 2023. The pre-production process is still ongoing, while the shooting is planned to take place in September 2023. The final cut of the film is planned to be ready by December 2023. We’re currently developing a distribution strategy, but the short film is likely to be sent to various international festivals, while the final aim is that of finding a distribution platform after the festival run.

The film will be shot in the mountain village of Sarona, in the Italian province of Varese. Most of the story takes place in and around a chalet, which will be the characters’ main gathering place.
