Bierwerk Züri is a microbrewery located in the centre of Zurich, where beer is produced and served straight out of the tanks. Our philosophy is to offer high quality, local and diverse beer as fresh as possible, and to create a place where beer production and enjoyment get combined. The only missing part is a beer garden, where you can relax and drink our beers!

Bierwerk Züri Tankbierbar beer garden!

Hi everyone!

We are Valeria, Lidia and Max: three brewers, friends and family, that during the last year decided to come back to Zurich to finally realise their big project: building a brewery. And here we are, “Bierwerk Züri” is a few steps from reality!

We’re in the process of converting a place at the Europaallee, in the centre of Zurich, into a beer production-and-enjoyment site, because we love fresh and locally produced beer! People would name it a brewpub, but that doesn’t give enough credit to what we have in mind: our beers are being produced in the same place where we will serve them to you straight from the tanks as soon as they mature to perfection. This is why we call it Tankbierbar!

We are giving everthing in order to open our Bierwerk Züri Tankbierbar in the first days of July. All the equipment is ready, the interiors of the pub are mostly done and our shiny tanks are full with the 5 different beers we’ve been brewing in the last days with our cool glass brew kit. There’s something missing though, what will make the spacious external area of our Tankbierbar into a cozy “Biergarten” for you all! We need to find, buy or build most of the tables, sunshades and seats that will host your open-air relaxed lunches, “Feierabende” and nights.

And here’s the deal! You can help us doing that by supporting our crowdfunding and in exchange you will assure for yourself and your loved ones one, a few or many pints of our very first (and limited) beers; alternatively, you can choose one of our brand new organic and fairtrade t-shirts or shoppers; or, if you are as nerd as we are, you will have the chance to participate to one of our open brew-days and other goodies!

My name is Lidia and I was born in Zurich. In 2015, after finishing my brewing education, I moved to London and started working for Beavertown Brewery, where I covered different leading positions. During that time I decided I wanted open my own brewery with Valeria and Max!

With them I share the love for researching and combining brewing ingredients, taking the best of their peculiarities to create high quality beers that give their best when served as fresh as possible. That's why we have decided to found Bierwerk Zürich Tankbierbar, a place where beer is not only produced but also served out of the Tanks.

We started the Crowdfunding project in order to create the coziest beer garden for our guests, and a perfect place for a 'Feirabendbier'!

My name is Valeria and I was born in Zurich. During the past 6 years I worked as Senior Brewer in London for Beavertown Brewery, where I've been responsible for the starting up and management of Beavertown’s Microbrewery at the new Hotspurs Football Stadium. Thanks to that great project I started thinking about opening my own brewery and finally decided that the next chapter of my life would have been Bierwerk Züri!

My personal passion and challenge is aiming for the perfect balance between the different ingredients, in order to create a beer that you'd never stop drinking.

The social aspect of beer drinking is for us of great importance and we'll love to get to know the people that drink our product! That's why it's so important for us to create the perfect beer garden at our Tankbierbar, where our guests will be able to relax and enjoy our beers.

I am Max, the third member of the Bierwerk Züri team. I was born in Bavaria, so beer has probably always been part of my life!

Since I studied Brewing in Weihenstephan it’s all about brewing beer. During my time in the UK, where I worked at St. Austell Brewery in Cornwall and Beavertown Brewery in London - you guessed it, I met Vali & Lidia! I then spent a few years as Production Manager at Schönramer Brewery, when I finally decided the time was right to make that brewery plan happen!

Just like Vali and Lidia I love caring about details, as they are what makes the difference in the final product. A great beer has to be fresh, could you then imagine a better place to drink it than right where it gets produced? We hope that people will enjoy tasting and dirinking our beers in our beer garden at the Bierwerk Züri Tankbierbar.
