I trust you are all well?

I am happy to announce the the project with Crowdify was a total success (should you also have a Project you are thinking about realising, I can only recommend it), and as a result, the first collection of womens sportswear from Byron&Bronte is officially in production in Portugal as we speak .. albeit a lengthy and complicated process!

The delivery date for final samples is still outstanding, (such is the nature of the fashion Business), so until I have the final date for this the photoshooting and launch party are on hold .. but i'll keep you posted!

The goodies have been ordered and will be in their way to you as soon as I have receoved them .. for which I will require post addresses .. this I will request per eMail!

I am keeping my fingers crossed that the final collection is here before summer arrives .. and that you guys of course like it!

I'll be back soon with more Infos and to get your addresses .. and in the meantime i'll keep pushing!!!!

a quick newsflash from the Byron&Bronte newsroom!
The Project has been extended for an additional 10 days in a last effort to reach the target Goal - hurrah!!

In any case the project will be going ahead, the question is with what volumes and how many pieces (dependant on the success of the Crowdify project). The factory in Portugal has been briefed and they are busy ordering the fabrics and trims, test-dying the colours and running the prints. Given the overall delay in launching the project .. a few changes have been made to the Initial collection, colours and prints have been added to give the first collection a more spring-like feeling. Who needs more black sportswear anyway?

As soon as I receive final samples from Portugal the fashion-shoot will be scheduled and the look-books prepared. Thereafter the doors of the B&B eShop will be opened .. and business can commence!!!!!

Dear supporters of B&B,

again, many thanks for your support during 2012, I hope it was an equally succesful and exiting year for each of you .. it certainly was for me!

As this year draws to an end, and a new one begins .. its time to reflect on all that has been achieved this year. After much blood, sweat and tears shed by the Byron&Bronte Team (i.e. me and a few freelancers, and my agent), I am happy to report that the first collection (albeit small, and just for women) will be going into final production during the first month of January. The amounts produced (and whether swimwear and menswear will be included in the first collection) will depend upon how well the project progresses on crowdify.net, as any funds will be spent 100% on production. So please keep spreading the word, your support makes all the difference .. and tehre is a long way to go!!!

The B&B team are hoping that 2013 will be THE YEAR for Byron&Bronte, bringing with it a successful launch at the end of March .. and a healthy and organic growth thereafter. The charity "Right to Play" have agreed to cooperatie with the Project and a percentage of all sales will go to this worthy charity in an attempt to give something back to those less fortunate.

We hope 2013 brings YOU all the positive energy you need to follow your dreams!

In the words of Lord Byron: "there is no instinct like that of the heart" .. so just follow it!!

Time for an update! After 25 days B&B has managed to finance almost 16% of the project .. and over 3'000 Euros from 32 boosters. Not bad .. but still a Long way to go!!!!.

So where are we will the project to date? Well, the fist samples of the womens stuff arrived last week. So just waiting for the prices from the factory to whilst I decide on the final colours and fabrics. Several samples for the marketing collateral also arrived from Italy, such as neck Labels, swingtags and badges for on the clothes .. so this part is coming together slowly. The art director is working like crazy to finish the CI manual and some other bits of pieces so that website programmer can get on with his job. The first mock-ups of the eShop can also be seen here.

A lot of time has been spent sourcing recycled cardboard boxes for the packaging as well as merchandising stuff for the give-aways .. this takes more time that you could ever imagine.

Next big step: briefing in the first collection for the menswear to the factory. So am desperately interviewing all male freinds about what they think is missing amongst mens sportwear to make sure we are on the right lines. So .. sorry if you already told me and you get asked per mail or FB again!
