Jenny has been undergoing surgery during last week and is recovering nicely in Lugano, her home town.
Now, we will have to help her by supporting her campaign- she is committed to help 50 more children in June, but have lost some funding. An Italian family run company helped her for several years, but recently started helping a local organisation as due to events in their home region.
Here is the description of the family as described by Jenny:
This family fights to survive. At one time they were all living with the grandmother in a wooden shack with three open rooms including kitchen and without bathroom. Then it was burnt down and the Municipality helped them. One son was given a two room flat next to the old house. He has four children, a boy of 15, a boy of 13, a boy of 7 and a baby of 2 years
They build another house for the grandmother with two rooms. One daughter and her daughter of 15 also live with them. The father left them. Upstairs, the grandmother and her son lives with his daughter. The wife abandoned them and he brings up the daughter who is eight years old. They have some land and grow their vegetables but their financial situation is difficult.
Please support this campaign with what you can. Please share this post.
Mother and daughter gives flowers from their garden to Jenny who visited them. This was two weeks ago, just before Jenny took the bus back to Lugano for her surgery. We look forward to her return, for the end of this campaign!
