Why Thanks to the technologies available today, it is no longer necessary to commute all the time. As a society, we need to reduce CO2 emissions, strengthen local communities, and make them inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable. How The VillageOffice cooperative is bringing back work closer to where people live. By 2030, it will be a fine grained network of local coworking spaces, which can be reached within 15 minutes by public transportation or by bike. We are building an ecosystem to facilitate this change faster, in partnership with Swiss pioneers of the field. We are fostering the emergence of new communities and spaces. With your support as a BOOSTER, VillageOffice will develop an IT platform to support this ecosystem. A key element of VillageOffice is the collaboration between people. This is why a VillageOffice is different from Home Office. It is a strong, local, community that allows to build trust and start real, fruitful collaborations, between people from different organizations and backgrounds. The Coworking Community: individual work, strong community Around 60 coworking spaces have formed in Switzerland, where highly creative individualists work on projects for themselves and for companies. VillageOffice, too, is making use of the previously only loosely-connected existing coworking spaces to drive its evolution towards smart corporate office solutions. Companies have so far shown themselves to be more open to home offices but remain sceptical and fear losing control. Employees complain about internal cohesion growing weaker and about reduced communication. VillageOffice is taking advantage of existing coworking spaces to develop new opportunities for businesses of any size to introduce contemporary, flexible workplace structures that combine the best of both home offices and conventional workplaces. Everyone benefits: Businesses enjoy lower and more flexible expenses. Employees benefit from shorter commutes, industry-wide networking and pleasant work environments. Communities can expect a revitalized city centre and a boost to the local economy. In addition, reduced commute distances represent a valuable contribution to the protection of the environment. A central characteristic of coworking is the so-called “community” - communication with coworkers that goes beyond the purely professional. Current coworking spaces were often created because of moral convictions or to facilitate certain activities such as start-ups. With VillageOffice, even “ordinary” employees, for example from a major corporation, will be able to integrate into a community in the future. Coworkers can choose the VillageOffices that best meet their needs. This is dependent not only on the location of the space, but also on the community and on how the space is designed. We’re bringing the workspace to the people! The VillageOffice cooperative is creating new, smart corporate locations close to home. Ultimately, this results in a closely-knit ecosystem of local VillageOffices that are accessible from home within 15 minutes by public transport or by bike. In addition, the VillageOffice subscription will grant access to all VillageOffices in Switzerland. The VillageOffice cooperative sees itself as an ecosystem that sparks the change to flexible work processes and network-based, cross-border project teams. It is promoting the addition of new VillageOffices, advising companies, expanding partnerships, creating standards and will create an IT system with reservation and billing options, a website and mobile apps. Secure areas will be installed to allow companies with sensitive data to work in larger VillageOffices.

With café révolution we, the collective of the same name, want to create a meeting point in the midst of Bern like no other: it is our dream to create a Safer Space free of racism and discrimination for people who are faced with and affected by racism, as well as a platform for anti-racist projects. To make this dream come true, we need your support!

Haus Wabi Sabi will be the first wellbeing space in Switzerland to combine a café, supervised children's area, family lounge, multi-purpose room for courses, events and coworking and an eco-friendly shop under one roof. We focus on sustainability, mindfulness, authenticity and wellbeing. We strengthen families, bring people together, create freedom and offer flexibility. And very tasty waffles. With your support we will open in Autumn 2020.

We found a house to open up the first Co-Working Space in Glarnerland in Schwanden. It is a pretty... old house and needs some love and renovation. We need to modernise the electrical connections (fuses, cables, outlets) and also provide a basic network infrastructure in the house, so you can enjoy a proper Internet connection (about 15'000 CHF). We also would like to get some basic furniture (sofas, chairs, desks), so you will sit comfortable and enjoy your stay (about 5'000 CHF). If there is some money left, we plan to paint the house (especially the roof) and invest some money into modern locks, so you can open the house with your mobile phone (> 20'000 CHF). Help us to renovate the house, so we can open the Co-Working Space in Schwanden soon!

Maison Merula is a space that brings together people from all kinds of backgrounds. A space for honest, open exchange and real encounters. Encounters with oneself, with other people and cultures, with art, knowledge and much more. Supported by a non-profit idea: our solidarity-based price system is intended to compensate for social and financial disadvantage and to make the entire programme accessible to everyone.

On July 11, we want to facilitate the exchange between more than 1000 people at Helvetiaplatz, in Zurich, to promote tolerance, mutual understanding and living together. For this purpose, a monument is created in an artistic way in which you can participate, too! The process of gentrification and the effects of the real estate appreciation of Zurich are pervasive. The resulting consequences are oppression, repression and intolerance towards certain groups of the population. In order to strengthen the multiculturalism and tolerance of Zurich, it is essential to support the exchange between people from different community groups. We use art as a means to to promote these values and the interaction between people. "ŠTO TE NEMA" or translated "Why aren`t you there?" is a nomadic monument that uses the genocide in Srebrenica (Bosnia and Herzegovina) as a symbol to remember what people can turn into if they do not reflect soon enough. Together with the local diaspora communities, it wants to set a signal against repression, oppression and violence by promoting a dialogue on these topics between different groups of people with the local population. This exchange promotes tolerance, mutual understanding and living together. So far "Što Te Nema" has already taken place in 12 world cities. "ŠTO TE NEMA" is an art performance that creates a monument of coffee cups throughout the day. Currently the monument consists of ~ 7000 Bosnian coffee cups "Fildžan" and will be larger this year by other donated cups. The art performance is defined in a way that volunteers engage in dialogue with the local population of Zurich, while filling the cups with coffee. No one drinks the coffee. Each cup symbolizes a victim of Srebrenica, who can no longer drink the coffee because he is no longer among us. (title "ŠTO TE NEMA" or "Why aren`t you there?").
