MAMA TIERRA
In short
This project supports the Wayuu, an indigenous community in Columbia. We aim to provide at least 100 households with solar lamps and solar panels. We focus on women, since they are the care taker in this indigenous society.
Women are key
This project focuses on Wayuu women, because they are the main providers for their families, they raise the children, and take care of the environment. Wayuu society is matrilineal, which means that duties, responsibilities and possessions are inherited following the female lineage.
Plea
At Mama Tierra, we need your support to help us turn the wish of the Wayuu, to have light and electricity, into reality: to have access to basic comfort thanks to electricity. Our goal is to provide a hundred households with power produced by solar panels. The more money we can raise, the more families we can reach and help. In exchange for your support we offer attractive goodies. Thank you very much for your support and helping us to bring light into darkness.

My Last Wish
Karin Brunschwiler
Hi there,
Thank you for taking your time to listen to my story.
My name is Karin and that's my son Elias.
I'm very sick. I have an Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), it is incurable and results in a relatively short time to death, usually within 3-5 years.
2,5 years ago I was on Hawaii, Big Island. That was the best time of my life, because this place is in my soul, the people I got to know there, the nature, the swimming with the wild dolphins and the whole way of life. The high energy of this Island brought me to my own inner beauty, to happiness, holistic and peace.
I do not have much time and my dearest wish is to once again be able to experience Hawaii, preferably with my son Elias, because I need support, I am weak and can not walk well and our common time is limited...
The illness broke out before 2 years and I'm unable to work since half an year and therefore I have no money to fulfill this deep desire.
That's why I am in need of your support and maybe like that I will still be able to reach my last wish.
I thank you for reading, for your interest and maybe for your help!
THANK YOU! Love and blessings for you!

House of Rescue
Vanja Crnojević
We want to provide a transitory, comprehensive home with all necessary services and support programmes for up to 15 unaccompanied, most vulnerable refugee and migrant children under the age of 15, who need special care and support that can’t be provided in the large collective centres or children who live currently on the streets. These children are mostly orphans or half-orphans which fled alone.
With this Crowdfunding we finance the acquisition and renovation of the house in Loznica, Serbia.
Every donation is so valuable for us and brings us a step forward to realise this project. Thank you from the bottom of our heart for your support.

OpenMindCenter is the house für Consciousness, Development and Culture in the heart of Zurich. It stands for the culture of change and is a place for co-creation and community, being and meeting for openminded people, young explorers and Cultural-Creatives. The heart of the house is a Co-Working space as a future-lab for Start-Ups and innovative Entrepreneurs, a big hall for regular events, and a City-Lounge with a Café as meeting place, with a little shop. More rooms in various sizes offer space for workshops, Coaching, Meditation, Yoga and other movement techniques.
The investment-phase has started. We are focusing our engagement on a building we found in a central place in Zurich, where from April 2014 four floors will be available. The calculations for the rent will come in around end of June. We need a lot of financial resources and the Crowdfunding is just a start for it.
To start the establishment of the company, pay a small salary to the leading team and as depot for the rent, we are looking for small and bigger donations and we will give you some goodies in exchange. Some of the team members have still some income from other jobs. All the raised money will be hold on an account at the Swiss Alternative Bank and will be set free as we need it.

Himalaya Winter Rescue
Rebecca & Yeshi Dorjay Hertzog
Hello Jullay !
In Zanskar, in the Indian Himalayas, 14’000 people are isolated from the rest of India for as long as 5 to 7 consecutive winter months due to heavy snowfalls blocking the few road accesses through mountain passes. There is no rescue service in case of emergency or critical medical condition.
This is where our project fits in.
We plan to train a team of 8 young Zanskari in rescue and emergency medicine, including basic support in birth delivy and postnatal care, and starting from March 2018.

Bed for Janvier
Kristian Skeie
Janvier was 11 years old during the genocide in Rwanda. She was paralysed from neck and down. Since then, for 20 years, she has barely been outside. I want to get her a specialised bed so that she can come outside when she wants to. An exhibition showing the topic as well as other related topics are on display at Photobastei in Zurich between December 10th and 27th.

a roof over their heads
Moni Bitzi
Kami Tensing Sherpa
… that is what’s missing for many people of Musey since the devastating earthquake this past April. So far, no support has reached this remote region.
A brief description of our project:
Ten families shall receive a new roof over their heads. For this particular purpose, this upcoming spring we will travel to Kathmandu to ensure the sourcing of the essential building materials on site and its transportation to the village of Musey at 2,700 m. above sea level.
It is important to us that...
… the roofs will be locally sourced and produced in Nepal.
… the roofs will be chosen in such a way, that they will endure the given environmental conditions at 2,700 m .a.s.l. for at least the next 50 years.
… the transport by helicopter proceeds safely.
… the local population will execute the reconstruction of the roofs according to their expertise and traditions.
… we will be on site for the duration of the project in order to supervise the project fully and assist the locals.
Interesting background information:
- Musey is located in the Solu Khumbu District which is known for its breathtaking nature and for being a starting point for many tracking tours and expeditions to the Himalaya.
- The Village of Musey is mainly inhabited by the Sherpa people who predominantly live off agriculture and their work as experts in the field of high-altitude mountaineering.
- The Sherpa (♂) and the Sherpini (♀) are a mountain tribe which originate in Tibet.
- The tribe name “Sherpa” is nowadays used as a job description. Today people who work in the Himalayan mountain industry are generally called “Sherpa”.
- In the few years that a Sherpa can work as a carrier and alpine guide, he not only provides for his own family but also often supports his entire village.
