Project Overview

Permaculture advanced - with syntropic farming giving a living example of how regeneration by use works and secures a livelihood. A threatening monoculture with olive trees is emerging in Koroni. We secure an attractive habitat for bees, insects, reptiles and birds by increasing biodiversity on 4000 m². The project can only start with the purchase of a neighbouring plot of land with road access.

Our property is currently connected to the next street by a 200 meter footpath. This prevents e.g. the transport of the collected biowaste from Koroni to us and thus the realization of our project. Now we have the opportunity, with your support, to buy a neighbouring plot of land and thus get a direct connection to the road. Additional space also means more valuable space for bees, insects, reptiles and birds.

For some years now we have observed that more and more vineyards, orchards and fallow land are being transformed into olive groves. The bacterium Xylella has been causing devastating damage to Italian monocultures since 2013. The crop failure in Italy should be an urgent warning, but unfortunately it instead gives hope for lucrative profits in Greece. With syntropic farming, a development from permaculture, we want to show an alternative that increases biodiversity and offers rich harvests in best organic quality.
reduce - reuse - recycle
We base our actions on these criteria. We produce our own completely degradable olive oil soap, use soap nuts, generate hot water with solar energy and compost our residues according to J.Jenkins' HUMANURE system. Our new, self-financed house will not be cooled by air conditioning in summer, but according to the principle of the Persian wind towers (Badgir / Malqaf).

Life has given me many opportunities to train my craft skills. Creative, practicable solutions are my speciality. With this project I would like to share my vast experience with other people and show that syntropic farming makes a valuable contribution to the regeneration of ecosystems.

Nature is my mother, my home and my future. A loving, respectful way of dealing with nature determines what I do. In my olive grove I produce high-quality organic products for you and care for the biodiversity in Koroni. With your support I can continue: from competition to compassion!
