Project Overview

We're fans. Fans of nature as a manufacturer of products. That's why the concept of C2C - cradle to cradle convinced us. The main materials for the leggings are selected in such a way that they can be returned to the environment without harmful substances. A revolutionary elastane finally makes it possible to make stretch clothing compostable. Become a fan too!

Funding goals

  1. Stage 1:

    6.000 CHF

    69% funded

The certified materials are quite costly, as they require a long development period beforehand. Sometimes there are also minimum order quantities for needed accessories. With this amount we can order the required fabric, go to our manufacturer and together we can ensure that the new eco-friendly Activewear/Maternity Leggings will be the way we want them to be.

  2. Finish Stage:

    10.000 CHF

    0% funded

In order to produce a circular product, that can be brought back into the cycle, information is very important. Therefore, we would like to develop a label, which contains the required infor-mation of the complete product life cycle via QR Code. This ensures that the product can be mean-ingfully recycled after the (hopefully late) "end-of-life".

HOUSE OF AIM
HOUSE OF AIM is a young Swiss activewear brand with a focus on sustainability, design and innovative materials. Nature and the relationship between living creatures and their environment are the focus of HOUSE OF AIM and influence the entire design process. Partially recycled and unusual materials combined with innovative graphics make the garments into individual treasures, each with its own story. For example, by making an insect the designer of a graphic. find out more on houseofaim.net

The material composition of our leggings consists of approx. 80% cellulose fiber from the Austrian company Lenzing and approx. 20% sustainable elastane. We are currently testing the best percentage composition. TENCEL™ and Modal Fibres are modified cellulose fiber and therefore biodegradable by microorganisms. According to Lenzing, biodegradation in soil, compost and seawater has been tested and certified according to current guidelines. On the basis of decomposition experiments, a weight loss and thus a biological degradation of Lyocell tissues of about 75 % could be detected within 60 days. Lenzing itself indicates a decay time of 100 % in 16 weeks. (Source: wikipedia)

The other important component of our leggings is elastane. After a long search we have finally found a sustainable elastane on the market. The stretch material used is compostable and allows us to produce a garment that is completely degradable without harmful residues.

For the sewing thread we use Cradle2Cradle™ certified TENCEL™ thread.

We have also found a suitable material for the washing labels that meets our requirements.

We are currently testing the first prototype and hope that we can do without additional elastic band in the waist. If this is not the case, we have found a compostable version. It is made of organic cotton and natural rubber.

HOUSE OF AIM
HOUSE OF AIM
From the very beginning, HOUSE OF AIM's goal was to find materials that can be returned to the environment free of harmful substances, so that we as human beings only borrow resources and do not waste them on recycling. It is therefore important to know the history of a product before and after it reaches the consumer. For this there are labels that show exactly where the product comes from and how it can best be processed or recycled. Our plan is to use such a label when we reach our full funding goal.
HOUSE OF AIM
After a customer told me, how difficult it was to find sustainable pregnancy clothing, I set off on a search. And indeed: sustainable pregnancy fashion is almost impossible to find. But especially in this phase of a woman's life, many people pay more attention to the origin of a product and how it is made. That's why we want to offer pregnancy leggings made of our sustainable fabric. So after your pregnancy for example your have the possibility to give your leggings a new live there.
HOUSE OF AIM
HOUSE OF AIM
In order to actively contribute to sustainability, it is very important to wear clothes that have already been produced as long as possible, which is why we offer 2nd hand clothing on our website under the heading "preloved", which is currently under construction. We find this makes also sense for the pregnancy leggings, where you have the chance to give the leggings to another person after your pregnancy.

Therefore, we would like to develop a label, which contains the required information of the complete product life cycle via QR Code. This ensures that the product can be meaningfully recycled after the (hopefully late) "end-of-life".

At this point I would like to thank all those who have already helped a lot in the preparation of the crowdfunding! Thank you very much for your commitment, without you this would not be possible!xxx Annette

HOUSE OF AIM is a sportsfashion label for active women.

HOUSE OF AIM channels nature and the relationship between human beings and their environment.

Partly recycled and unusual materials combined with innovative graphics turn the garments into individual storytelling pieces. HOUSE OF describes the house as a collaboration effort

– putting the team behind the brand in focus.

It sums up the work of everyone involved on the road from concept to product, based on equal treatment and fair wages for the suppliers, manufacturers and designers.

AIM stems from the aim of producing better and increasingly sustainable sportswear. Which in turn influences and transforms the consumers and their lifestyle, including an athletic challenge and a reach

for higher goals – emphasizing the journey as the reward.
