Hellooo, it’s me, your beloved herbling!
A few weeks ago, we had THE BIG meeting with the Ricola Board of Directors. The team and I were very excited about it, but I can’t deny, there was also nervousness around. To give you some first hand insights about how the meeting went, I interviewed our Chief Product Officer, Chris Fesen. Are you ready for some hot news?
So, tell us Chris... everyone wants to know... what did they say???
«Well, they already knew your taste and loved your spirit, herbling, you know that. We shared updates about the campaign, your development progress, and that we were 4K CHF below our 20,000 CHF crowdify-goal to give the 'go' to produce the product. There was wavering in the room. 'Great effort” but everyone wondered, would herbling achieve its goal by the end of the month?»
Right, I almost forgot, at that time, we were still short of our goal. How did you feel at this moment?
«I didn’t lose hope! Innovation was more alive at Ricola than ever and everyone could feel it! We had attracted attention from not only friends, family, and existing Ricola customers but also some new opportunities in restaurants, hotels, and event hosts. A few days later we crossed 20K CHF and I was relieved and excited all at once! We managed to produce a viable concept and secured interest from Ricola fans who banded together to vote ‘YES’ to the herbling concept. Whoohooo! It was a great feeling to know that Ricola consumers love the brand and are hungry for us to do more with our Swiss Alpine herbs!»
Wow, I am so excited, too! What happens next, Chris?!
«Now the work beings! Securing the materials we need to scale up the production batch, bottle, and pack hundreds of bottles of herbling for shipment. A big THANK YOU to our fans who made this possible! Before the year is out, herbling should arrive at the doorstep, to be enjoyed, shared, and rated. By scanning the QR code on the bottle, our fans will be able to tell us what they like and don't like so we can develop your character bringing the delight of Swiss alpine herbs to everyone, every day.»
Wow...definitely a story worth celebrating! Let's raise a glass and cheer....may these first steps be the first of many in Switzerland and beyond!!!
