Project Overview
In April 2022, Dmytro, Alex, Victoria and Daria travelled from Kyiv to the liberated Chernihiv region. They wanted to take action, clear away rubble and help rebuild the villages. To do this, they founded REPAIR TOGETHER. Since then, over 2,000 volunteers have helped to clean up and rebuild – accompanied by local rave DJs. We now want to support REPAIR TOGETHER to rebuild a cultural centre in the village of Ivanivka in the Chernihiv region.

Ukraine-Update: Clear up, repair, rebuild
Reconstruction in Ukraine does not take a summer break - on the contrary! Hundreds of volunteers from Repair Together are using the warm season to clean up the rubble of war-damaged houses in the Chernihiv region, thereby making numerous buildings habitable again. They are working tirelessly to give as many people as possible back a wind- and weatherproof home before winter approaches. Clean-up camps and clean-up raves take place every weekend. There is also a permanent construction camp with international and Ukrainian volunteers. On the part of Libereco, we have supported these important efforts of Repair Together with 20,000 Swiss francs in 2023.
The plans for the reconstruction of a cultural centre are progressing, unfortunately a little slower than initially expected due to the war. A competition is currently being held for various designs, from which the winning project is to be selected by the end of the year. Construction work is scheduled to begin in the course of 2024. We will of course keep you up to date!

We have wonderful news: REPAIR TOGETHER will be awarded the special award by 1LIVE Krone (West German Broadcasting). We warmly congratulate our partner REPAIR TOGETHER and look forward to supporting them in rebuilding the cultural centre in Ivanivka.
