The well-known radio show Blues Zeppelin celebrates its 30th anniversary. This milestone will be celebrated with a four-day concert series on 25-26. Oct. and 1/2. Nov. 2019. Each night is dedicated to blues of a specific country: SWISS NIGHT with The Two, Richard Köchli, Special Guests AFRO NIGHT with Cécile Doo Kingué, Roland Tchakounté UK NIGHT with Dom Martin, Ben Poole CANADA NIGHT with Morgan Davis, MonkeyJunk, Hank Shizzoe

The program Blues Zeppelin has been part of the Swiss radio landscape since 1989. It offers an eclectic mix of blues music from around the world. Many internationally known blues artists have participated as guests. The program also gives the Swiss Blues in particular a prominent place in the radio program. Bernese artists such as Hank Shizzoe, Shirley Grimes, Marc Amacher, Yvonne Moore and so on regularly appear on the show with their music and interviews.
Mark Stenzler came to Switzerland in the 1980s as a physics researcher. He has been an avid radio producer and DJ since 1978 on both sides of the Atlantic. He was co-founder of the pirate radio "Radio Free Ithaca" and board member of Radio RABE and the European Blues Union.
For 30 years, Mark Stenzler has been dedicated to volunteering and with great passion for the exchange of Swiss blues music in Europe and North America. His travels take him to many important international festivals, where he can bring in and promote blues and folk music by Swiss artists.

Such an event series cannot be realized without sponsoring. Due to a short-term cancellation of such a sponsor, we still lack a lot of money to support the concerts. The funds are used for artists' fees and local costs (hotel accommodation, transport), technology and advertising. The staff works mainly free of charge.
Mark bears most of the costs of this anniversary himself. He has spent 30 years unpaid and volunteering to teach and promote blues from all over the world.
With 30 years of Blues Zeppelin, Mark gives the blues artists of his choice an intimate stage, where they can live out their passion in thrilling concerts, together with a music-interested audience.

BLUES ZEPPELIN has been part of the Swiss radio landscape since 1989. Hosted by Mark Stenzler, the show features an eclectic mix of blues, zydeco, folk and world music. There are always a variety of musicians, artists and writers as guests on the program.
