Grabado "La Chegua"
This extraordinary Good(eid)ie is a copperplate engraving in almost A3 format by Mexican artist Adriana Arellano Tinoco and shows the Bulldog Goodeid (Alloophorus robustus), known in Mexico as ‘La Chegua’. The copperplate prints are numbered by hand from 1 to 60, 25 are available for this category. The photos added show a finished print alongside the printing plate and the original fish. The fish species itself is widespread in central Mexico, but very rare where it occurs and has already disappeared from many places. In central Mexico, it is considered a symbol of the inadvertent disappearance of fish species and a target species for conservation purposes of a private conservation project in Lake Patzcuaro. A bookmark (5.5 x 14.5 cm) made of high-quality paper showing a male Butterfly Splitfin (Ameca splendens), a unique notebook (16 x 10.5 cm, 15 sheets), with the cover made of handmade paper from the invasive water hyacinth (Pontederia crassipes) and a "Día de los Muertos" motif, and a printed exclusive thank-you certificate with the name of the boostering enthusiast in A4 format will be enclosed with this Good(eid)ie and the name of the donor will be painted in black letters on the car under “The purchase of this vehicle was made possible by the following enthusiasts”.
