This extraordinary Good(eid)ie is a copperplate engraving in almost A3 format by Mexican artist Adriana Arellano Tinoco and shows the Bulldog Goodeid (Alloophorus robustus), known in Mexico as ‘La Chegua’. The copperplate prints are numbered by hand from 1 to 60, 25 are available for this category. The photos added show a finished print alongside the printing plate and the original fish. The fish species itself is widespread in central Mexico, but very rare where it occurs and has already disappeared from many places. In central Mexico, it is considered a symbol of the inadvertent disappearance of fish species and a target species for conservation purposes of a private conservation project in Lake Patzcuaro.
