Goodies are your reward for the financial support. They should make you want to support your project and often decide whether the boosters are on board. It is therefore worth investing a little more time here and offering the most attractive and creative goodies possible. Examples: unique experiences, personal invitations, homemade gifts, etc. The more exclusive, the better. Good to know:
For each goodie you can set the amount of the availability and also if it should be available for a limited time only
A planned delivery time is entered for each goodie.
As the shipping costs vary from country to country, the actual shipping costs can be entered country by country.
If items of clothing are offered as goodies, the boosters can also immediately select the desired size.
You can upload a maximum of 3 pictures per goodie (we recommend at least one)
Boosters can also boost without selecting a goodie.
Goodies with pictures are automatically transferred to...
Like many of you will have, we started the new year full of hope and optimism that the pandemic would soon come to an end. We have put another difficult year behind us, so we are pleased to reflect on the most successful projects of 2021 that fill us with pride: 🏆Highest amount: On the Trail of Tayaro You raised a total of CHF 110,050 for the “On the Trail of Tayaro” road movie. And it’s no surprise given this emotional story of a Syrian Kurd who sets off for Europe in search of his son. It tells of the status of women, escape, home, and the relationship between fathers and their daughters. We can’t wait to see the film!
🏆Most boosters: Jugendschlafnotstelle 702 boosters supported Bern’s “Jugendschlafnotstelle” emergency accommodation for young people. Thanks to them, this important project was successfully funded, and the emergency overnight accommodation is already almost finished – it should be open this spring. We’d like to say hats off to you!...
One question that comes up again and again is how to determine the “right” target amount. We’re not surprised it comes up repeatedly, because it’s not easy to answer, since it’s not clear who is going to support the campaign, how much they’ll pledge, and which goodies will be popular. Ideally, the target amount strikes a balance between the amount needed for implementation and the amount you expect to raise from your crowd. If you set the amount too low, you run the risk of not being able to fully implement the project as planned. Conversely, if the amount is set too high, this might cause the project to fail.
It is essential to be able to actually deliver what you promise the crowd. This calculation can be used to make sure that the target amount is not set too low: Effective project demand + 5% reserve + expenses for goodies (don’t forget postage costs!) + PR / marketing costs + crowdfunding platform commission (around 10%) = crowdfunding target amount
